KCS is a vibrant, inclusive ceramics studio offering a playful and welcoming space for all skill levels to create, connect, and explore mindfulness through craft.
The Problem
KCS had an existing brand identity that felt unofficial and outdated, failing to reflect the studio's welcoming personality. Their logo and visual materials lacked the polish needed to attract and retain their target audience — creative, community-driven women ranging from college age to 70+.
Design Intent
Develop a full logo suite, typography system, color palette, and brand pattern to give KCS a cohesive, elevated identity that still feels handcrafted and approachable.
Extend the brand across print collateral like brochures, postcards, merch, and stationery to create a consistent experience for customers.
Compile everything into a brand guideline book to ensure the identity can be applied confidently across all touchpoints.
Insight
A studio built on creativity and community needs to reflect the human nature of ceramics with handwritten typography and imperfect illustrations.
Outcome
